Continued funding for mitochondrial research
Our close colleagues at the Wellcome Centre for Mitochondrial Research (WCMR) at Newcastle University have been successful in gaining further funding to support their vision until 2024.
The Centre’s Director is Professor Gràinne Gorman, who also leads the Neuromuscular Disease theme for the NIHR Newcastle BRC, within which we support projects and infrastructure that contribute to the outstanding research into mitochondrial diseases.
