How do I acknowledge the BRC in my research outputs?
Acknowledging the support of the BRC is a contractual requirement. Any BRC support, whether salary, project funding, studentship or use of indirect resources or facilities that receive underpinning BRC funding requires acknowledgement.
The NIHR monitors and measures our performance from outputs, so anything that has not been acknowledged will not be counted. Future funding for the Newcastle BRC and other NIHR awards to the partnership (between Newcastle Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and Newcastle University) therefore depend on our acknowledge performance.

To emphasise its enduring commitment to social care research, the NIHR officially becomes the ‘National Institute for Health and Care Research’, however, the acronym ‘NIHR’ will remain unchanged. Make sure the new name is accurately reflected in future acknowledgements.
