Newcastle BRC to match-fund COVID-19 research projects
To support COVID-19 research across Newcastle University, the NIHR Newcastle BRC will be match funding applications to the University’s NU COVID-19 Research Fund.
The Newcastle University COVID-19 Research Fund will provide rapid response funding to pump-prime new, or progress existing, multidisciplinary research that seeks to advance knowledge about COVID-19 and its impacts.
The fund will prioritise projects that combine joint working across disciplines and/or with external partners, and projects that leverage external funding, including from commercial project partners when the project is led by the University.
Funding will typically be awarded for project costs up to £20k, but also welcomes substantially smaller applications too.
More information on the NU COVID-19 Research Fund, including application details can be found here (please note, this is an internal webpage and can be accessed by Newcastle University employees only).
