I want to learn about research
Research and medical discoveries had paved the way for the healthcare we have today. Health research seeks to discover new knowledge that will help us improve our health. This means that even if we are not aware of it, research affects us all. Our Newcastle BRC research themes benefit from patient and public involvement, but so does the wider health and research landscape.
Below we hear from a student about the benefits of people taking part in research for study outcomes and patient care. But if you want to know more, check out our page on why get involved in research?
Here, one of our NIHR Newcastle BRC-funded students, Jadine Scragg, talks about the value of involving patients in her research; describing both benefits for patient outcomes and research findings.
