Dr Antoneta Granic is a Principal Investigator in the Ageing Syndromes Theme, working on a project entitled ‘MIlkMAN: MIlk Intervention Muscle Ageing’.
Antoneta is an Interdisciplinary AGE Research Fellow supported by the NIHR Newcastle BRC and a Senior Research Associate at the Institute of Neuroscience. Before joining Newcastle University in October 2012, she worked and studied as a Senior Biological Scientist at the University of South Florida, Department of Molecular Medicine and Byrd Alzheimer’s Center, USA. Antoneta joined the AGE Research Group in April 2015, and she studies the role of dietary patterns, whole (‘myoprotective’) foods, and dietary interventions with exercise in physical and cognitive decline (sarcopenia and dementia) in older adults.
