Therapeutic Tolerance: The 5th International Workshop
Bringing together leaders in therapeutic tolerance from across the globe
This year’s International Therapeutic Tolerance Workshop is being held in Newcastle upon Tyne following a one-year hiatus in 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. This event has been held every four years since 2005, bringing together leaders in therapeutic tolerance from across the globe.
Professor John Isaacs, Theme Lead for the BRC’s Musculoskeletal Theme comments:
“We have hosted such a workshop every four years since 2005 and they have become increasingly popular as a place to learn about, discuss, and collaborate on cutting edge therapies to switch off unwanted immune responses. Back in 2005 it wasn’t clear whether such therapies would reach the clinic and it is gratifying to see how busy the field has now become. Indeed, about a third of those signed up to the workshop are from the pharma and biotech industries. I’m really looking forward to welcoming everyone to Newcastle for the 5th time to discuss transformative science, meet new friends and forge new collaborations.”
The workshop is being held at The Catalyst on the Newcastle Helix site from 28th June until 1st July 2022.
