Improving diagnosis and management of Lewy body dementias
Through an NIHR-funded project; DIAMOND-Lewy, researchers from Newcastle University and University of Cambridge have created a Management Toolkit for better diagnosis and disease management of dementia with Lewy bodies (DLB).
The Toolkit was developed through multiple systematic reviews, as well as patient and public consultations. The guide is designed to be used by practitioners in order to facilitate the detection of DLB in patients, by providing; an overview of the condition, symptom management summaries, and a reference guideline which provides detailed recommendations on the management of Lewy body dementia.
