The NIHR Fellowship Programme supports future leaders in research:

  • Pre-Doctoral Fellowships

    Predoctoral Award

NIHR Professorships and Senior Investigators

The NIHR provides funding for established senior researchers and future leaders.

The NIHR Research Professorship is the flagship award for the NIHR. The scheme aims to fund research leaders of the future to promote effective translation of research. 

Through the Global Health Research Professorship programme funds research that aims to benefit people in Low Middle Income Countries (LMICs) eligible for Official Development Assistance (ODA).

The Senior Investigator award is for senior researchers making an outstanding leadership contribution to the work of the NIHR.
