Newcastle hosts International Lewy Body Dementia Conference
The first in-person International Lewy Body Dementia conference since the COVID-19 pandemic is held in Newcastle this week
Newcastle hosted the first International Dementia with Lewy bodies conference in October 1995 and the third in September 2003. It is now hosting the seventh International Lewy body Dementia Conference (ILBDC) on June 15th-17th 2022 at the Newcastle-Gateshead Hilton Hotel, beautifully located overlooking the famous River Tyne and its many bridges and fine historic buildings.
The ILBDC brings together laboratory and clinical scientists, and previous meetings have been central to the development of diagnostic and management criteria for DLB.
Professor Alan Thomas, member of the BRC’s Dementia theme and chair of the ILBDC comments:
We are honoured that research leaders from around the world have responded to our invitation to assemble, what we expect to be, an outstanding conference programme.
